Communicate 2 - Ongoing Communication



Ongoing communication is a vital part of the learning process in the primary grades.  Newsletters allow stakeholders to know whats happening in the classroom and gives out important dates, events, and what learning is taking place.  There are sent out through our class website or emailed.   Newsletters will help parents and stakeholders be informed of what we are learning, when projects/work are due, spelling/reading activities to work on when not online, and much more.  Mandatory communications are like mass "school wide" notes that everyone receives.

You just have to click on which you are working on and it will direct you straight there. BrainPop : This site has been also used for quite some time. Our school has a subscription to this site. It has information for students and is interactive. Google Earth : This site is clear and concise. My students get on this sometimes in computer lab. They come back telling me what all they have seen using this site. Khan Academy : This is a free site that I have just become familiar with last school year. Create 1- Time Management 1.     OneNote   OneNote :   This tool is used by first creating a notebook one OneNote. You can then write notes to keep your data organized. OneNote makes it easy to find the notes you have written making it easier on yourself. This tool would be most helpful in a professional setting. When doing work for your job, you can make easy to find file folders taking some stress off of yourself. This would be perfect for students and or professionals doing research projects. I feel like I could use this from an instructor standpoint. Create 4 - Aggregating Lesson Material Google Classroom:  Google Classroom is an awesome free web service developed by Google.  Schools use it  to simplify creating, distributing and grading assignments in a paperless way. The primary purpose of Google Classroom is to streamline the process of sharing files between teachers and students. This is a free program.  I haven't used Word in the last probably three years at all.  Many teachers in our school system use Google Classroom. I have used it some, but now we have are not allowed to have them on the computer much at all. My high school daughter has used it for all communication and turning in work and presenting since middle school. Google Classroom Schoology: It is a cloud based LMS. It was created in 2009.  It has resource folders, tracking systems, and communication programs.  It is easy to set up.
