Standard B: The online teacher understands and is able to use a range of technologies, both existing and emerging, that effectively support student learning and engagement in the online environment.

Standard I: The online teacher demonstrates competency in using data from assessments and other data sources to modify content and to guide student learning.

Standard K: The online teacher arranges media and content to help students and teachers transfer knowledge most effectively in the online environment.

Answer in a complete paragraph response: How has the Navigate module prepared you to meet each standard listed above?  Specifically address the standards listed above and link to or provide specific examples from your work in Navigate. What strategies will you take away from the Navigate module and apply to your teaching?  What lessons were most beneficial for you?

I have learned about some new things with technology with programs that I've been using that are available to teachers.  I address these tools in my blog. Some are for mobile devices. Parents always have their phones nearby, so it is a great tool to get quick information to parents.  SeeSaw is a program where people can look from a mobile phone or from a computer. They are able to see their students work and comment back to them with teacher approval. While reading and researching, I learned about how SeeSaw has a component for standards based recording. This is a huge bonus for our grade level. In the course creation part, I learned how to create a course using PowerSchool. I made a course here.  As for standard K, learning about the features in Kahoot allowed me to be able to learn more about making assessments fun for the students. The teacher can walk around and assess students knowledge of curriculum while observing their answers. You can read about this here.
