Create 4 - Building Portable Learning Objects

 The games are to add an element of gaming to my educational course. As teachers, we must compete with multiple gaming systems for the attention of our students.  Mine always say they can't wait to get home to play their games. By creating a game  that has educational value, we are more on their level of the students we are trying to reach.  Games are a good way for teachers to check for student understanding of the material that must be learned.  I used Needs vs. Wants since we teach all subjects. We have to teach these standards within our reading curriculum. Fluency and reading go hand in hand with all subject areas in the primary grades. Students practice fluency when reading any type of material.

The game of Kahoot is a fun interactive way to review skills that we have been learning.  The students get to compete against one another.  Anything you can turn into a competition will be fun for students.

Using Pear Deck is a fun interactive way to show a presentation to your class.  This gets the students involved in their learning and makes power point presentations less boring.  When introducing new material to students this could be used as a fun way to see what the students already know and what they are expecting to learn.  Students could also use this in a group project to show off what they have learned  to the class.

Create 1- Time Management 1.     OneNote   OneNote :   This tool is used by first creating a notebook one OneNote. You can then write notes to keep your data organized. OneNote makes it easy to find the notes you have written making it easier on yourself. This tool would be most helpful in a professional setting. When doing work for your job, you can make easy to find file folders taking some stress off of yourself. This would be perfect for students and or professionals doing research projects. I feel like I could use this from an instructor standpoint. Navigate 1 - Screen Capture

Navigate 1- Screen Capture I used the Screencastify chrome extension. This would be great to use in an online classroom because I can show them exactly how reading phrases fluently should be done. Many students still read like a "robot". We are trying to help them read like we talk. Using this program allowed me to show the powerpoint and read it so they would have an example. When students are out, they can look online where I post work and be able to continue from outside the classroom. Here is a link to my video.
