Communicate 1 - Communication Guidelines

Welcome message:

Welcome to my Second Grade Online Classroom! My name is Mrs. Autumn Nash.  I look forward to working with you.  We will be using Seesaw, Flipgrid, Epic, and many other forms to communicate your understanding of reading. Your assignments will come through Seesaw. They will be detailed and communicated clearly so you will know what you will be learning. You have been added to our class Seesaw account. Get ready to explore and read!

Personal Message: 

Welcome to the world of online learning. I have been a teacher for 24 years. I am excited to have you in my online classroom. If you have any questions, please feel free to email me at anash@floydboe.net. I will have online office hours that I will be checking email from 3:00-4:30 each weekday.  I will also be checking in through Seesaw if you need to leave information and concerns. Feedback is imperative for young learners.

 Policy regarding communication:

If you have any questions about your online learning classes, please email me personally at anash@floydboe.net.  You may also post on our Seesaw account.  I do like to keep in contact with families of my young learners.  If you would like to have a phone conference, my office number is 706-236-1835.  Please leave a message and I will get back in touch with you during my office hours.

Create 1- Time Management 1.     OneNote   OneNote :   This tool is used by first creating a notebook one OneNote. You can then write notes to keep your data organized. OneNote makes it easy to find the notes you have written making it easier on yourself. This tool would be most helpful in a professional setting. When doing work for your job, you can make easy to find file folders taking some stress off of yourself. This would be perfect for students and or professionals doing research projects. I feel like I could use this from an instructor standpoint. It would be easy to find things to use for my classroom and be easily accessible. 2.     Nozbe   Nozbe   This is a system best used personally that allows the user to make tasks for themselves based on the location where the task should be completed. Navigate 1 - Screen Capture

Navigate 1- Screen Capture I used the Screencastify chrome extension. This would be great to use in an online classroom because I can show them exactly how reading phrases fluently should be done. Many students still read like a "robot". We are trying to help them read like we talk. Using this program allowed me to show the powerpoint and read it so they would have an example. When students are out, they can look online where I post work and be able to continue from outside the classroom. Here is a link to my video.
