Participate 1 - Ideal Digital Learning Communities

  1. What would be needed to bring an ideal learning community to fruition? 
I would have resources for the students as well as the teachers. Family connections would be an asset to the site. Everyone is looking for what works best for them. Having a variety of choices would be beneficial to them.
2 What can one do to make an existing DLC more attractive to and welcoming for students and teachers?

 For a student, easy sign in is a must.  Students like graphics and videos.  As a teacher, having a way to incorporate families in the learning experience would be a plus. I like how SeeSaw has these features. It helps parents feel included in their child's day.

Create 1- Time Management 1.     OneNote   OneNote :   This tool is used by first creating a notebook one OneNote. You can then write notes to keep your data organized. OneNote makes it easy to find the notes you have written making it easier on yourself. This tool would be most helpful in a professional setting. When doing work for your job, you can make easy to find file folders taking some stress off of yourself. This would be perfect for students and or professionals doing research projects. I feel like I could use this from an instructor standpoint. Navigate 1 - Screen Capture

Navigate 1- Screen Capture I used the Screencastify chrome extension. This would be great to use in an online classroom because I can show them exactly how reading phrases fluently should be done. Many students still read like a "robot". We are trying to help them read like we talk. Using this program allowed me to show the powerpoint and read it so they would have an example. When students are out, they can look online where I post work and be able to continue from outside the classroom. Here is a link to my video.
