Participate 3- Accessing Digital Learning Communities



Students living in rural areas have limited access to the internet.  If they by chance have internet connection, it is very unreliable.  Some students may have access, but do not how to use it.  If living with Grandparents, they may not have the background knowledge on how to use it.  Some children do not have technology at home at all.

 We need to educate more people about technology so they will not be so fearful of it.  We can provide a list of where people can go to get free internet. Ex: library, McDonald's, Panera.

Create 1- Time Management 1.     OneNote   OneNote :   This tool is used by first creating a notebook one OneNote. You can then write notes to keep your data organized. OneNote makes it easy to find the notes you have written making it easier on yourself. This tool would be most helpful in a professional setting. When doing work for your job, you can make easy to find file folders taking some stress off of yourself. This would be perfect for students and or professionals doing research projects. I feel like I could use this from an instructor standpoint. Navigate 1 - Screen Capture

Navigate 1- Screen Capture I used the Screencastify chrome extension. This would be great to use in an online classroom because I can show them exactly how reading phrases fluently should be done. Many students still read like a "robot". We are trying to help them read like we talk. Using this program allowed me to show the powerpoint and read it so they would have an example. When students are out, they can look online where I post work and be able to continue from outside the classroom. Here is a link to my video.
